PREVIEW: Clyde v Peterhead
For the first time this month, The Bully Wee host a match at Broadwood tomorrow, with Peterhead coming to Cumbernauld in Ladbrokes League 2.
The match marks the start of the second quarter of the 2018-19 season, with the first meeting of the sides in August at Balmoor ending in a narrow win for The Blue Toon.
For Clyde tomorrow, goalkeeper Kieran Hughes returns following a shoulder injury. New signing Kristoffer Syvertsen could also be included in the squad.
Speaking to the official website, Danny Lennon said:-
“It should be a cracker and a good one for the supporters and the players. I’m sure it will be highly competitive. Our main focus is on bringing our own qualities to the match and working as hard as we possibly can, leaving nothing out on the pitch at 4.45pm.
“I’m looking forward to moving into the next quarter of the season. Most squads are complete now and we’ve had a look at every team. We’re in amongst it at the top end, with a decent start overall, but no doubt also with room for improvement.
“Our fans have been great in the away matches we’ve had recently, but it’s nice to be back at Broadwood as we know that not everyone is able to travel away. It’s fair to say that we didn’t deliver for them in the last two matches and everyone knows that. We’re aiming to put that right tomorrow and hopefully the supporters will help to drive the players on again.”
