Danny Backs Summer Camps

Clyde manager Danny Lennon took time this week to support the Clyde FC Summer Camps.

The camps start in July at Stepps Primary School.

Tom Elliott, community manager said: “With the World Cup on TV just now we can’t wait until we get going at our first camp. The kids can look out for some special guests during the four weeks, along some new excellent material to enjoy.”

Danny added: “I’m delighted to support Tom and the Community Foundation with the summer camps over the holidays. It’s important to continue the connection between the club and the community and it’s great to keep children active over the holiday period. Since l joined Clyde l’ve witnessed the great work that the Foundation delivers and l commend them for this.”

Following this week’s latest addition to the first team squad, Dylan Cogill, Danny continued:-

“We have assembled a squad that has genuine competition for every starting position, which gives us strength in depth.

“We are all hungry to improve on last season. Our ambition is for every player at the club to have a great season, both individually and collectively as a team. Our coaching staff are focused on working incredibly hard with the players to deliver that, as that will be the catalyst for the club to achieve the forward momentum we all yearn for.”

During the Summer Camps, children will benefit from structured coaching sessions directed by SFA qualified coaching staff, undertake fun challenges, collect a completion certificate and receive a gift from the club.

The programme will run from Monday 16th July to Friday 10th August. Kids will have the option to stay for either two hours (10am-12noon or 1pm-3pm) or a full day (10am-3pm), either booking for a week or opting to pay-per-day.
