Clyde 4-2 Alloa Athletic

The Bully Wee recorded a 4-2 victory over Alloa Athletic in a pre-season friendly at a sun-kissed Broadwood this afternoon.

Clyde took a lead after just three minutes when David Goodwillie drove into the box and set up Jack Boyle, whose low shot was parried onto the post by Alloa ‘keeper Andrew Wilson, before creeping over the line.

Chris McStay then doubled the lead just after the half-hour mark when he played a one-two with Goodwillie in the box, before slotting an effort across Wilson.

The Wasps pulled one back a minute later when Greig Spence poked into an empty net from a couple of yards out.

Goodwillie got on the scoresheet seven minutes before half-time, with a sublime effort from 30 yards out which found the top corner.

Goodwillie was the provider again as Clyde added a fourth ten minutes after the interval, teeing up Ally Love who powered a left-footed effort home.

Spence pulled another back for the visitors shortly after, getting on the end of a long bouncing ball and hitting a half-volley past Blair Currie.
