‘Flying Start’ Initiative
Following on from the success and popularity of the 200 Fund initiative, the club are launching a similar but one-off close season prize draw.
Funds raised from this initiative, aptly named the Flying Start Draw, will be completely ring-fenced for Danny Lennon’s player budget for the 2018-19 season.
Similar to the 200 Fund, direct debit payments of £5 will be taken on a weekly basis, but only for a 12 week period starting on 11th May.
The bumper draw will take place pitchside at Broadwood at a Betfred Cup match on either the 24th or 28th July, to be confirmed once the competition’s fixtures have been announced.
Clyde director, Gordon Nisbet said:-
“With the Clyde Lottery taking a well-deserved summer break, and following requests from many 200 Fund subscribers asking if we could devise a close season scheme, we are pleased to launch this fundraiser that could be very important in the squad building process.
“Ideally, we are aiming to draw three winning numbers to share the prize pot, which will again be 50% of the total amount collected. So, for example, if we have 100 subscribers, that creates a prize pot of £3,000 and three lucky supporters will win £1,000 at our last home group match in the Betfred Cup.”
