John Watson

The club was saddened today to learn of the passing of lifelong supporter, John Watson.

John, from Bridgeton, starting following Clyde from a young age and was fortunate enough to see the club win the Scottish Cup. He passed on his love of The Bully Wee to his son, John and his grandson, Sean.

Despite moving to Canada in 1989, he continued to keep a close eye on how the club was getting on, and friends of the family are still regular attendees at matches.

John’s son is pictured on the homepage with his father, celebrating a league championship win, and he contacted the club today to pass on the sad news.

The club’s condolences go to John’s family and friends at this difficult time.
