PREVIEW: Clyde v Edinburgh City

Clyde will host Edinburgh City at Broadwood tomorrow in Ladbrokes League 2.

It’s the second meeting of the sides so far this season, with the previous encounter in Cumbernauld in September going the way of City. Currently, only two points separate the clubs in the league table.

For The Bully Wee tomorrow, new loan signings Jack Boyle and Dylan Cogill are eligible to be included in the squad. Max Wright and Jack Breslin are making good progress in their recovery from injury, but the match might come too soon for them.

Speaking to the official website this evening, Clyde boss Danny Lennon said:-

“We’re going into the final sprint phase of the season now, which is when everyone starts to pick up the pace and look to get into position. Everyone will be giving it a final push now and we’re no different.

“The players know that they need to reach the same level of the last two weeks, with everything coming together, and not letting the standards drop. Edinburgh have been in very good form and picked up some positive results recently, so we know it’s going to be a very challenging game for us.

“We can really take confidence from our last two results though and the Peterhead match showed the importance of getting a clean sheet and how that gives you the opportunity to go on and win matches.”
