New Signing: Ray Grant

The club is pleased to announce the addition of Ray Grant to the first team squad.

The 21-year-old midfielder has signed a contract to the end of the season, having been a free agent during the last transfer window. He was previously with Norwich City, where he spent several years as a youth player, before leaving the Norfolk club at the end of last season. Earlier in 2017, he also had a loan spell at Dagenham and Redbridge.

Grant has one cap for Scotland at under-19 level, received in 2014.

Ray comes from a footballing family; his father, Peter is a former Scotland international and his brother, also Peter is currently with Falkirk.

Clyde manager Danny Lennon said:-

“I’m excited about helping Ray take the next step in his footballing journey. The aim, with any young player, is to help them to develop but he is also ready to make an immediate impact at the club. Ray has already trained with us and as soon as we saw him, we knew he would enhance the quality that we already have.

“The focus during the window was to bring genuine quality to the squad and it was important that we got players that would make a positive difference in key areas.”
