PREVIEW: Clyde v Montrose

The Bully Wee will host current table toppers Montrose at Broadwood tomorrow, as the 2017-18 Ladbrokes League 2 campaign continues.

The Gable Endies won the first meeting of the sides 3-2 in September and their good form has continued since then, remaining unbeaten in the league.

For Clyde, Matt Flynn remains out and club captain Kevin Nicoll, who missed last week’s match at Annan, will face a fitness test tomorrow to decide whether or not he can take part.

Speaking to the official website this afternoon, Danny Lennon said:-

“We respect that Montrose are coming to us as league leaders and they’ve had a lot of good results – many of which have been based on clean sheets.

“From our own point of view, we built a good platform at Annan last week. I know it wasn’t pretty to watch but we managed to get a clean sheet and that was really important. If we can add to that and be better on the ball, which I see from the players at training, then we can start getting the results we need to move towards the right end of the table.

“We are still learning a lot about the group and some of them have surprised us already. Overall though, their effort and application has been first class.

“The backing that the home supporters gave us against East Fife was excellent and if we can create chances and give them something to shout about, I’m sure they will get behind the players again tomorrow.”
