October Camp is a Big Success

Clyde FC Community Foundation manager Tom Elliott has hailed the final school holiday course of 2017 as a big success.

Over the course of 2017, Clyde in the Community havs organised six holiday courses during Easter, Summer and October with over 400 boys and girls taking part during the school holidays. The Foundation has also received some excellent feedback from the participants and about what they liked, what wasn’t so popular and things they would like to see in a future holiday football course.

Tom said: “I think it is important to ask the kids about what they like and dislike about our courses so that we can continue to improve the product. I’m pleased to say that they are happy with a lot of the stuff we deliver but there is always room for improvement.”

The camps have also had some positive feedback via email, Facebook and Twitter from parents.

Dave McLaren Big thanks to the coaches who organised the camps. Boys I know who attended had a great time
Looby Lou Robbie loved it!!! Thanks to the coaches!!!  👍 👍
Nicola Truten Cullen loved it and can’t wait till Easter Camp! Thanks to all the coaches

Community coach Robert McGaw said: “This has been a brilliant experience for me and I have learned so much. I am in my second year at New College Lanarkshire studying for an HND in Sports coaching and the practical experience I am getting is invaluable to me. My wee boy also attended the camps and more recently signed for Clyde FC in the Community playing with the 2008 age group and he absolutely loves it.”

Tom added: “We will start to plan our holiday courses for 2018 and get them in the diary as they become an annual fixture in our calendar. I must thank all the parents who have supported our holiday courses and to all the children who come along and take part.”
