PREVIEW: Montrose v Clyde

The Bully Wee will travel to Montrose tomorrow, as the Ladbrokes League 2 campaign continues.

Both clubs will be looking to bounce back after disappointing results last week, with The Gable Endies currently sitting three points ahead of Clyde in the table.

The Clyde squad will be without several players for the journey to Angus. Andy Munro, Jack Breslin and Jordan Lowdon are all suspended – Lowdon following a red card in this week’s under-20 match, for retaliation.

Jim Chapman said: “Jordan was caught late and, considering he is just coming back after a long injury lay-off, I can understand his reaction. Anyone involved in football would. However, it doesn’t excuse it and he is remorseful about it.”

Matt Flynn and David Gormley continue to be ruled out, with the latter having now started a return to training. Kyle Bradley is also on the injured list, with a groin complaint expected to keep him sidelined for another two or three weeks.

Speaking about the match in general, Jim continued:-

“The last couple of weeks have been really frustrating. The players are hurting, but that’s a good thing. They know there are things that we need to tighten up on if we are to start picking up results again.

“It’s important that we keep believing, stay positive and use the frustration we have in the right manner.

“Every game at this level is difficult, especially away from home, and Montrose is no different. Most of the matches are going to be so tight that it’ll come down to what happens on the day.”
