Knee Surgery for Gormley
The club can confirm that David Gormley requires to have knee surgery and will be out of action for several weeks.
The 29-year-old forward has been troubled by a cartilage problem for a while and a recent scan has revealed that an operation is needed to repair the damage.
The treatment is scheduled to take place next week, with an expected recovery period of around six weeks following that.
Clyde manager Jim Chapman said: “David has been carrying the injury for a while now and that’s something that people haven’t appreciated in terms of him not being able to reach the full fitness levels that he wanted to. I think that shows how desperate he is to do well.
“Providing that the operation doesn’t reveal anything more complicated, we should have David back in October and I think we’ll all see the benefits of having him fully fit from then on.”
