Jamie Wins First ‘200 Fund’ Prize
The opening prize draw in the new 200 Fund intiative took place at Broadwood yesterday at the match against Annan Athletic.
The lucky winner was Jamie Barnett, pictured here, who immediately collected a cheque for £695 – the prize sum based on the 139 subscribers at the draw deadline date.
First team squad member Scott Ferguson made the draw on the pitch at half-time, pulling Jamie’s allocated number of 52 out of the bag.
The 200 Fund allows supporters to contribute directly to Clyde’s first team and also enter a fortnightly draw to win a significant cash prize. The venture runs on the basis of a 50-50 split of the total funds collected, with the profit to the club being potentially £18,000 over the course of a season. This will be entirely ring-fenced for player budget purposes.
If the final target of 200 subscribers is achieved, it will also produce a guaranteed £1,000 winner at every one of the club’s home league games.
Spaces in the initiative are still available. For more information and to sign-up before the second draw on 26th August, visit the 200 Fund page.
