Legends Lunch – Sold Out
The club is pleased to announce that the Legends Lunch at Broadwood on 29th April is now fully sold out.
The event is marking two signficant dates in Clyde’s history. The fixture against Berwick Rangers on the day is Clyde’s 500th match at Broadwood, since the first competitive match against Hamilton Academical on the 5th February 1994. The date also marks exactly 50 years to the day since Clyde beat Stirling Albion 5-2 at Annfield, to bring the curtain down on the momentous 1966-67 season.
The first three guests, from the 1966-67 squad, have been confirmed. In no particular order, they are:-
John McHugh – a Clyde stalwart for 14 years between 1962 and 1976 and a player who became known in many journalistic circles as ‘Mr Clyde’ during his time with the club.
Graham Macfarlane – a speedy right winger who stayed with The Bully Wee for 10 years, occasionally moving back from his usual right wing berth to be an equally effective right back.
Dick Staite – a most versatile player, who played in many different positions for The Bully Wee, including the opposites of centre half and centre forward.
Further news on additional guests will follow soon.
