PREVIEW: Clyde v Montrose
A busy schedule of catching up on postponed matches in Ladbrokes League 2 begins for The Bully Wee tomorrow evening, as Montrose visit Broadwood.
Jordan McMillan returns from suspension, with the Clyde squad expected to be otherwise unchanged from Saturday’s trip to Annan.
Following the resignation of Barry Ferguson, assistant manager Bob Malcolm has been placed in charge of the team for the match and he spoke to the official website this evening:-
“I’ve stepped in before when Barry was away and I know what the boys are all about. It’s just about getting them out onto the pitch and ready to win the match.
“It’s not about me – there are 13 games left now and the players have got to go out and perform, for themselves and for the club, and do everything they can to reach the play-offs. I know that’s going to be hard, we would probably need to win 10 of those matches to have a chance, but I know that the squad is capable of doing that.
“The situation over the next few weeks hasn’t changed for the boys, there are a lot of matches to be played and not a lot of room for training, but it’s a chance for them to show their quality and change what’s happened in the league over the last couple of months.”
