Barry Pleased with Squad Resolve

Barry Ferguson was a happy man following yesterday’s win over Elgin City at Borough Briggs. The Clyde manager had to make changes to the shape of the team following the loss of Jordan Lowdon and Dylan Easton, but the players responded to secure an excellent three points.

“I’m delighted with the way we got the victory,” he said after the match. “We had worked on a different style of play at training during the week and the boys stuck to the game plan brilliantly.

“It wasn’t pretty at times, but it got us the three points.”

John Gibson was one man that produced a fine individual display, pulling off excellent saves at key times in the match and Ferguson paid compliment to his goalkeeper:-

“We were under pressure in the last ten minutes when we were down to ten men and Gibby proved his importance to us. He has been great since he’s come to the club and he did really well for us today.”

Barry was also keen to praise his full squad though, after a difficult couple of weeks:-

“We’ve lost two key players in recent weeks, but I’ve stressed to the players that it’s a team game and they all proved that in the match.”
