PREVIEW: Queen’s Park v Clyde
The penultimate round of matches in the Ladbrokes League 2 season takes place tomorrow, including a hugely significant Glasgow derby at Hampden Park.
The Bully Wee currently sit one point above The Spiders, with Annan Athletic and Elgin City also in contention to finish in the three play-off positions.
Barry Ferguson will be without the suspended David Marsh from his matchday squad.
The Clyde manager spoke to the official website this afternoon:-
“We’re definitely going into the match positively and the good thing is that we don’t need to rely on anyone else, we just have to go out and get the right results in our last two matches.
“To play in a game like this at an arena like Hampden… if you aren’t looking forward to that then what’s the point in playing football? It’s always exciting to play at the National Stadium and there’s a new surface for the players to enjoy as well.”
Barry was keen to see a strong Clyde contingent amongst what’s expected to be a healthy crowd for the derby clash:-
“The backing from the fans has been excellent over the last few months and I’m sure we’ll get the same tomorrow.”
