PREVIEW: Clyde v Stirling Albion
It’s the final day of the 2015-16 Ladbrokes League 2 season tomorrow, with Clyde ending the campaign with a pivotal match against Stirling Albion at Broadwood.
The Bully Wee need a win to guarantee a promotion play-off slot, with Queen’s Park, Elgin City and Annan Athletic also in the hunt for the three places available. To add to the complexity of the battle, Annan will host The Spiders at Galabank and any of the four teams could still miss out depending on the outcome of all matches.
Barry Ferguson will again pick his team from a squad depleted by injury, however David Marsh returns from suspension.
The Clyde manager was in a determined mood when he spoke to the official website ahead of the match:-
“It’s in our own hands so we’ve got to be positive and go out to get the right result. Stirling had a good result last week though and they’ve always given us a tough game, so we are definitely expecting another difficult game.
“There’s no doubt that the boys will go out and give it everything again, but they just need to regain the level of quality needed to get the win.
“We’ve had a bit of bad luck with injuries but we’re not using that as an excuse. As I’ve said before, it’s part and parcel of football and the team that goes out will be capable of winning the match.”
