McGovern Sidelined by Injury

Clyde midfielder Jon Paul McGovern has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury.

McGovern was on the wrong end of a heavy challenge in the opening stages of Saturday’s match at Berwick Rangers and had to be replaced. Tests this week have revealed that the injury will keep him out for several weeks.

Clyde manager Barry Ferguson said:-

“It’s disappointing but unfortunately it’s part and parcel of football. We’ve just got to deal with it.”

The 35-year-old has featured in 29 matches for The Bully Wee since signing from Stirling Albion in September.
