Waters Loan Extended

The club is pleased to announce that the loan of Marc Waters from Partick Thistle has been extended until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old goalkeeper joined The Bully Wee last month following John Gibson receiving a suspension and he has gone on to feature in seven matches, impressing with his form between the sticks.

Speaking after Saturday’s win over Elgin City, during which he saved a second half penalty, Marc said: “I’m enjoying playing – what a place to come. We’re at the top end of the league and it’s been a great experience so far, I’m really happy with how it’s going.”

Clyde manager, Barry Ferguson also spoke to the official website this evening:-

“Marc’s done very well for us and we will have really healthy competition for the goalkeeper’s jersey until the end of the season now.

“John’s also been great for me and he was just unfortunate to get a red card at Elgin. He’s been really professional over the last few weeks though and that’s what this group of players is all about.

“I always say that no one is guaranteed a place in the team and we’ve now got two really good ‘keepers going for the position.

“I’d like to thank Alan Archibald and Paul Gallacher at Partick Thistle for their input into the deal. They are both very easy people to deal with and I appreciate that.”
