PREVIEW: East Stirlingshire v Clyde

Clyde’s Ladbrokes League 2 campaign continues tomorrow, with a second trip in ten days to Ochilview.

Both clubs will be determined to get the points for different reasons, with The Shire trying to avoid the bottom slot and The Bully Wee looking to keep the pressure on at the top of the table.

Barry Ferguson had no fresh injury worries to report ahead of the match, although loan signing Scott McMann still remains around a week away from being in contention to take part.

The Clyde manager spoke to the official website and gave a forthright view:-

“If we have any aspirations to win something this season then we’ve got to win the match, it’s that simple.

“I laid down the gauntlet to the players at training last night – we’ve got to look to win every match between now and the end of the season. There’s no point in just aiming for a play-off spot now, we’ve got to aim as high as possible.

“The game will be difficult, as they all will be, but you have to be ready to work hard and grind to get the results. The boys know what’s possible and I’m sure they are ready for it.”

Barry was also keen to thank the fans for the part they have played, during what has been a busy period over the last few weeks:

“The support has been excellent recently and getting a good number away from home is really important. It gives the boys a big lift, there’s no doubt about that. We got a great turn out at Ochilview on a cold Tuesday night and the same again tomorrow would be fantastic.”
