PREVIEW: Elgin City v Clyde

The Bully Wee will take on Ladbrokes League 2 leaders Elgin City at Borough Briggs tomorrow.

The squad will make the journey to the Scottish Highlands later today, as Barry Ferguson explained when he spoke to the official website ahead of the match:-

“I felt that it was important that we made it an overnight stay, to allow the staff and players to spend more time together and to give us the best possible preparation on Saturday morning. Thankfully I was able to find a sponsor, Heartfelt Ltd, who were more than happy to help us out and fund the stay. That isn’t easy nowadays so we’re grateful to them.”

Barry will be without long-term absentees Scott Ferguson and Brian McQueen, the suspended Mark McLaughlin and the injured Scott McMann. However, Michael Bolochoweckyj returns to the squad after serving a one-match ban.

The Clyde boss continued:-

“Elgin are in good form, especially at home where they haven’t lost a league match all season, so we know how tough the match is going to be.”
