PREVIEW: Clyde v Berwick Rangers
Berwick Rangers will visit Broadwood tomorrow on Ladbrokes League 2 duty, for what will be only The Bully Wee’s second home match of 2016 so far.
The Borderers enjoyed a victory over Annan Athletic on Tuesday night to lift them off the bottom of the table, with Clyde looking to end a run of four defeats in what has been a fragmented period since New Year.
Barry Ferguson spoke to the official website at the end of a busy week:-
“There’s been a lot going on at the club over the last couple of weeks and I’m glad that it’s all been resolved. We can get our heads down now and get on with it – there are a lot of matches coming up and a lot to play for.”
Clyde will be without the injured Brian McQueen, Scott Ferguson and Scott McMann and the suspended John Gibson and Scott Durie.
However, on loan Marc Waters will take his place between the sticks and other recent signings John Gemmell, Ross Millen, Jamie Watson, Paul Slane and Reece Glackin are all in contention to feature. Mark McLaughlin is also available again following a suspension.
Barry continued: “Berwick have had some better results recently. It takes time for a new manager to settle in but they are starting to gather some momentum now. I keep stressing to the players that there are no teams in this league that you can underestimate.
“We want to get back on track with a win. All I can ask for from the boys is the same spirit that they showed at Elgin last week. They really fought hard for each other and I was proud of them.”
