Big Day for Bully Wee Kids
Saturday will be a very special day for our two Schools of Football, as they take part in the prestigious Under-11 Football Festival, organised and delivered by the Glasgow Football Association (GFA).
A squad of twenty boys, coming from our Southside and Cumbernauld Schools, have been selected to represent the club in this nine team tournament at the Toryglen Regional Football centre which goes ahead on Saturday from 10am to 4.30pm.
Middlesbrough, St Mirren, Palace Park Boys Club and Cathcart Boys club join the five Glasgow clubs, Celtic, Rangers, Partick Thistle, Queen’s Park and Clyde for the festival which will be played in the indoor arena.
Coaches Stephen Muckhalt and George McMillan said: “It’s a great opportunity for our youngsters and the coaches and players from both Clyde Schools of Football are looking forward to participating in the tournament. We are grateful for the invitation from the Glasgow FA to participate and we hope all players from all teams enjoy a great day of sport and friendship.”
