New Signing: Steven Brisbane
The club is delighted to announce that Steven Brisbane will join Clyde from East Stirling this summer.
Brisbane, a 20-year-old midfielder, has agreed a one-year deal with The Bully Wee.
Steven began his career at Falkirk and made his debut for The Bairns as a 16-year-old. However, following a loan spell at Broxburn Athletic, he left Falkirk last summer and joined East Stirling.
During the 2014-15 season, Steven was a regular feature for The Shire, playing in 30 matches and scoring against Clyde at Broadwood in March.
Barry Ferguson said: “Steven really impressed me when he played against us and in other matches I watched. He has huge potential and if he keeps working hard he will have a bright future in the game.
“He can play anywhere across the midfield, which is also ideal given that we’ll be running with a smallish squad.
“A number of clubs were interested in signing Steven, but he was hungry to come to Clyde and play for me. He’ll be one of the younger members of the squad but we’re getting a good mixture of youth and experience and that’s something I want.
“It’s a signing that hasn’t just happened in the last few weeks, we’ve been working on it since the start of the year, so I’m delighted to be able to make it official today.”
The current squad list for 2015-16 is; Michael Bolochoweckyj, Steven Brisbane, Archie Campbell, Scott Durie, Scott Ferguson, Sean Higgins, Scott Linton, Conor Lynass, David Marsh, Mark McLaughlin, Scott McLaughlin, Mark McMillan, Brian McQueen, Chris Mitchell, Hugh Murray, Billy Robb, Mark Roberts and Chris Smith.
