Ferguson Frustrated by Defeat

Barry Ferguson spoke to the media following today’s single-goal defeat to East Stirlingshire.

The home loss came on the back of a win at Montrose and the Clyde manager was visibly frustrated by the outcome:-

“I spoke about consistency on the website yesterday and I need to try and get a formula to sort that.

“The game was absolutely horrible in the first half; we didn’t play anywhere near how we can. Having said that, if you cut out the error for the goal there is nothing in the game. It was a silly, silly mistake.

“It was a bit better in the second half but we didn’t have a cutting edge.

“I’m bamboozled by my team at times. There was no shouting in the dressing room after the game, but I need answers quickly.”

After being on the receiving end of a late tackle, Craig Halkett was stretchered off the pitch following the final whistle with an ankle injury. The defender was sent to hospital for a precautionary check but Ferguson revealed there was no immediate concern for the on loan Rangers man:-

“We think that Craig is going to be ok and I hope he will be because he’s a big player for us at the back at the moment.”
