PREVIEW: Clyde v Elgin City

The Bully Wee have enjoyed a historic week off the pitch, with the clearing of the club’s debt, and Barry Ferguson is hoping to complete it with three points on the pitch tomorrow afternoon against Elgin City.

Elgin currently sit bottom of the League Two table, a point behind Clyde, but Ferguson knows his team are in for a difficult afternoon against Barry Wilson’s men.

Speaking to the official website, the Clyde boss said: “We’re looking forward to the game. We haven’t played at home for a while so it’ll be good to get back on our own patch and hopefully get a good result.

“We have been away from home for the last three games and, other than last weekend which was disappointing, I think we have done well. We are four games unbeaten now so we need to keep that sort of form going and keep improving.

“It will be a hard game because Elgin are a tough team, but we have prepared right and hopefully we can get the three points.”

In terms of the matchday squad, Ferguson kept his cards close to his chest but he did reveal that there would be fitness tests before kick-off:-

“We have got some niggles ahead of the game – there were a couple of players who limped out of training but I need to wait until tomorrow to have a look at them and have a chat with them.”
