PREVIEW: Elgin City v Clyde
The Bully Wee return to action tomorrow as Barry Ferguson takes his team north to face Elgin City at Borough Briggs.
Ferguson has said he is looking for a reaction from his players following Monday’s 8-1 defeat at the hands of Rangers.
The mananger confirmed he goes into the match with a full squad to choose from and he said he is looking forward to getting his team back out on the pitch. He told the official club website: “We’ve got to move on, we can’t dwell on the Rangers game. We’ve got important league games now and that is what we’ve got to look ahead to, there’s no point in dwelling.”
The Bully Wee and Elgin have enjoyed mixed results since Clyde’s relegation to Scotland’s bottom tier, however, the majority of Clyde success stories have come at Broadwood.
Clyde’s last win in Elgin came on 17 September 2011 when a double from Liam Cusack and a strike from John Neill secured a 3-0 win.
The last match between the two sides was a 4-0 win for The Bully Wee at Broadwood, with goals from Scott Ferguson, Gordon Young and a Michael Daly double.
Elgin have had a mixed start to the season with a 1-0 home win against East Fife followed by a 2-1 defeat away to East Stirling.
