Scott McManus Signs

The club is pleased to announce the signing of Scott McManus on a two-year contract.

The 24-year-old striker is previously of Stenhousemuir, Stranraer, Celtic and most recently Vale of Clyde. McManus is also a former Scotland youth player, with caps at under-17 and under-18 level.

Clyde manager Barry Ferguson spoke to the official website after completing the move yesterday:-

“I’ve known about Scott for a while and I asked a few people about him, who all said he could play at a higher level. We got him in for pre-season and he looked excellent in a bounce match.

“He’s a bit behind in terms of fitness at the moment, but he’s going to be doing extra work over the next couple of weeks. He’s a player that’s always on the move on the pitch, he’s busy and he always makes himself available. He’s desperate to learn and I think he has a bright future if he keeps working hard.

“I’m delighted to have secured him and I’m really happy with my squad.”
