McQueen Wins Website PotY Award

Defender Brian McQueen has been named as the club’s Website Player of the Year for the 2013-14 season.

The award is based on Man of the Match points voted for by Clyde FC Owners after every match throughout the campaign. The top three players were:-

  • Brian McQueen (50 points)
  • Scott Ferguson (34)
  • Stefan McCluskey (29)

McQueen, who featured in 39 matches and scored 2 goals, will be presented with the award in the summer.

2013-14 was a busy season for The Bully Wee, with 44 competitive matches. A special mention also goes to club captain John Sweeney, who completed the fine achievement of starting in all of those matches when he led the team out at Bayview on Saturday:-

  • John Sweeney (44 appearances)
  • Kieran MacDonald (42)
  • Brian McQueen (39)

Stefan McCluskey finished the campaign as the club’s top goalscorer with a credible return of 13, as three players reached the 10-goal mark:-

  • Stefan McCluskey (13 goals)
  • Michael Daly, Scott Ferguson (10)
  • Kevin Watt (5)

In terms of creating goals, McCluskey was also heavily involved and he was joined by Stuart McColm at the top of the chart:-

  • Stefan McCluskey, Stuart McColm (11 assists)
  • Scott Ferguson (9)
  • Kieran MacDonald (8)
