On Saturday, the club will welcome its final school visitors of the season to Broadwood; Bankhead Primary School from Rutherglen.
This is a special and exciting period for Bankhead, which has recently seen their historic old building demolished, with construction of a brand new school due for completion in 2015. In the interim, the staff and pupils have decanted to temporary accomodation and they are no doubt looking forward to going home to Bankhead next year.
The club are grateful that, during a period of unavoidable disruption, Bankhead are taking the time to come to Broadwood as the team seeks to secure a place in the play-offs.
As usual, the school will provide a matchday mascot and a number of the children will be on the park at half-time for the ’10 second challenge’.
We hope that everyone from Bankhead enjoys their day and that they give vociferous support to the team in what has become a vital fixture for The Bully Wee.
