Injury Update

As the 2013-14 season enters a crucial final month for The Bully Wee, there is mixed news for members of the squad hoping to take part in the remaining matches.

Kevin Watt is nearing a return to action following two ankle injuries. The striker has only played twice this year, but is now close to match fitness again and could play a part in the run in.

Bradley Coyne, however, has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to a knee injury. The 21-year-old was signed from Stirling Albion in January, but has only made four substitute appearances for The Bully Wee.

Clyde boss Jim Duffy said, “Bradley returned to action this season after a serious knee injury which kept him out for a year. We watched him play for Stirling and we liked the look of him, so we felt it was worth bringing him in on a short term deal to see if it would work out.

“Unfortunately, he has since suffered problems with scar tissue on his knee and it’s going to keep him out until the summer.”

Ryan MacBeth is continuing his rehabilitation following a long-term illness and has been named on the bench for Clyde’s last two matches.
