PREVIEW: East Stirlingshire v Clyde

The Bully Wee travel to Ochilview tomorrow to face East Stirlingshire in League Two.

Clyde continue to be without Jamie Barclay (foot) and Michael Daly (shoulder) but otherwise are at full strength for this crucial clash.

Clyde play the league leaders with the knowledge that victory may see them move to the top and there can be no bigger incentive for the young Clyde stars who are attracting attention from a number of clubs.

This week, Kieran MacDonald sampled training with Championship side Dundee, with work commitments prevented teammate Gavin Brown joining him.

Bully Wee boss Jim Duffy downplayed the rumour mill of imminent moves: “I have no objection to the players learning about the demands of full-time training and when a club asks I’m happy to offer the chance and discuss the opportunity with the player. Dundee was a good chance for Kieran to experience full-time training, however the weather curtailed matters and nothing is likely to happen soon.”

Jim concluded, “Dundee, like others, have watched the players and are keen to take a further look but the priority is our games. We have a number of important matches coming up and it starts tomorrow against East Stirlingshire, then we have the Scottish Cup tie with Stranraer which is quickly followed up with a midweek game against Annan.

“The focus is therefore on ourselves, maintaining our positive run and we are all looking forward to the game tomorrow.”
