Knoxy to Guest at Cup Clash
The club is delighted to confirm that the guest of honour at Saturday’s William Hill Scottish Cup game will be Clyde legend, Keith Knox.
Keith recorded a fantastic total of over 700 professional appearances in his long career and was with The Bully Wee for a ten year spell from 1987 to 1997. During that time he featured in just under 350 matches, becoming a firm fans’ favourite with his consistent and wholehearted displays.
Club director, Bobby Gracey said:- “Last season, we introduced many former Clyde favourites to our fans at half-time. I can think of no one more appropriate to kick-off this season’s guest of honour list than Keith Knox. The fact that our opponents are Stranraer, who he also played for and managed, adds a little bit of spice to the occasion.
“Keith has assured me that his loyalties on the day will be firmly in the colours of red, white and black but I’m sure that everyone in the stadium will give ‘Knoxy’ a fantastic welcome!”
Any supporter that would like to suggest a former Clyde FC player to be invited back to the club as a matchday guest, can contact Bobby at bobby.gracey@clydefc.co.uk.
Saturday’s Fourth Round tie against Stranraer kicks-off at 3pm at Broadwood. Admission prices are £12 for adults and £6 for concessions.
