Fergie Agrees New Deal
Clyde youngster Scott Ferguson has tonight agreed a two-year contract with The Bully Wee.
Club director Bobby Gracey said, “The club has been in discussion with external investors who have now agreed to secure the services of Scott Ferguson as part of the player investment scheme. It is a fantastic signing for the club. I’m sure every supporter agrees that Scott has been outstanding since making the step up from our under-19s.
“This deal demonstrates our faith in ‘Fergie’ and acts as example to all the other talented youngsters in Clyde FC’s Academy in terms of what can be achieved.”
Bobby was keen to point out that the club’s innovative Player Investment Scheme is totally independent from the recently launched Budget Development Fund, which has given club owners and supporters a further way to back The Bully Wee in meeting the season’s ongoing costs and its initial target of £30k.
“It’s been a great week,” Bobby concluded. “We have had good interest in the budget fund and to conclude the deal to secure Fergie is a great boost for us all as we look forward to tomorrow’s game against Montrose.”
