Additional Spaces at Golf Day
Due to popular demand, a limited number of additional spaces have been created at this week’s Clyde Golf Day.
All of the original 18 team slots have now been filled, but another 4 have been made available at a special last-minute price of £200 per team (4-man or 3-man).
The event is being held on Friday at the Westerwood Hotel & Country Club, Cumbernauld. A host of players past and present have signed up to support the day which is making its debut on The Bully Wee’s Fundraising Calendar.
Jim Duffy and nine first team players will be participating, along with some ‘well kent’ faces of the past including; Pat Keogh, Keith Knox, Jim Thomson, John McAuley, Paul Ronald, Gordon McIntyre, Stevie Tennant and ex-ballboy Dougie Donnelly!
Clyde FC Director Bobby Gracey said, “It’s fantastic that the event is being so well supported and we’re getting ready for a great day on Friday. I’d also like to thank the Westerwood for agreeing to host an extra four teams at short notice.”
The day begins at around 11am, with bacon rolls and coffee on arrival. Then there will be 18 holes of championship golf (shotgun, Texas Scramble format) on a course designed by Seve Ballesteros. To conclude, there will be high tea followed by a prize giving and raffle/auction. In addition, the hotel will be showing the Scotland v Belgium International match and discounted accommodation will also be made available by Westerwood if required.
