Youth Roles for Lee & Eddie
The club is pleased to announce that Lee Sharp and Eddie Annand have been appointed as coaches of the club’s under-19 team for the forthcoming season.
The duo, of course, need little introduction to Clyde supporters and have both been involved with the club’s youth academy previously. They now take on the side that will sit below The Bully Wee’s first team squad and is of increasing importance, as the club tries to develop the necessary talent that will challenge for senior places in the future.
Throughout his career, Lee has been a dedicated professional with spells at Dumbarton, Dundee, Ayr United and Stranraer before joining Clyde in a playing capacity in 2011. The full back has combined his playing career with developing his coaching experience and was latterly working on both fronts for the club’s first team.
Having been released from a playing capacity at the end of the season, the club was keen to utilise Lee’s experience at the sidelines.
Eddie also enjoyed a long career, which included a fine two-year spell with Clyde from 1995 to 1997. He was a prolific goalscorer during that time and he also had notable stints at Sligo Rovers, Dundee, Ayr United and Dumbarton before his retirement in 2007.
