Southside Trip to Annan

The club’s School of Football Southside Branch certainly isn’t resting on its laurels after recently being awarded the SFA Development Level Quality Mark award.

On Saturday, the Southside 04s organised a trip to Annan to play against the Galabankies’ community teams before the first team match. The youngsters also provided the half-time entertainment by playing in 4 v 4 matches in front of an appreciative crowd.

Since the point of these exercises is rightly enjoyment for all participants, results aren’t recorded. However, we can say that the Annan coaches were highly impressed by the standard of football demonstrated by the Clyde kids. This fact was communicated to Jim Duffy and the players before kick-off and may well have been the inspiration behind the great first team victory!
