Clyde 1-1 Elgin City
A goal by Stefan McCluskey (right) wasn’t enough to give Clyde three points at Broadwood today, as a late goal by Elgin earned the Highland side a draw.
Jim Duffy brought Kevin Nicol back into the side and there was also a surprise start for 20-year-old Daniel Fitzpatrick, who recently returned to the club after a loan spell.
McCluskey’s goal came on the stroke of half-time but, with ten minutes left on the clock, a mix-up between Jamie Barclay and Iain Gray gave Paul Millar an easy task to equalise. Gray suffered a nasty head knock in the same incident and was taken to hospital for a precautionary check this evening.
That was a cruel blow to The Bully Wee, with several chances to increase the lead having been missed previously.
The other three matches played in the IRN-BRU Third Division today also finished on level terms, meaning no positional changes were made in the league table.
