Jim Still Searching
With the transfer window set to close this week, Clyde boss Jim Duffy confirmed to the official website that he is still hoping to add to the squad.
So far in January, Kevin Nicoll and Jamie Lyden have joined the club on loan from Dumbarton but Bryan Gilfillan has moved on and David Marsh is preparing for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Jim admitted that finalising deals was proving difficult and that there was one area in particular he wanted to strengthen:-
“We are continuing to look to add to the squad,” he said. “Ideally, I want to bring in at least one other player up front. I think we are limited in how we can play in the final third as the strikers we have are similar. Everyone works hard but we need a contrast so we can vary our play when needed.
“I’ve looked at a few players but as of yet I haven’t been able to conclude any deals. I will continue to do what I can to add to the squad.”
