PREVIEW: Annan Athletic v Clyde

Clyde travel to Annan tomorrow as they seek to stop the run of poor results of late. Jim Duffy spoke to www.clydefc.co.uk this afternoon…

“Team wise, Gavin Brown is out due to a groin injury and Michael Oliver is also missing as he is suffering from tonsillitis. Nik Rajovic is a doubt too due to a poisoned toe so youth ‘keeper Sam George will travel. However, John Neill returns to the squad and Ricki Lamie will also feature if the clearance arrives in time.

“Matches with Annan are always tight affairs and we go into this match in the knowledge that we will have to play well. We need to be clinical. We are being punished severely for each error and if we are missing chances up front then it’s little wonder that results are going against us as matches are often decided by a single goal.

“Annan’s results have been up and down and I think they emphasise the fine margins between success and failure in this league. The pitch tomorrow will be a good surface for playing football so we need to concentrate in defence and attack and do our best to be positive.”
