Rough Confirmed for Dinner
Preparations are ongoing ahead of the club’s annual Hall of Fame Dinner, which is taking place on Friday 9th November at the Strathclyde Hilton.
Club director and event organiser, David MacPherson, has informed the official website that the first of the evening’s speakers has been confirmed. Former Scotland World Cup player Alan Rough will take the microphone for what is sure to be an entertaining routine.
Alan predominantly featured for Partick Thistle and Hibs during his long career, during which time he collected over 50 international caps.
More recently, he has turned his attention to sports journalism and broadcasting.
As previously announced, two-times Scottish Cup winner Harry Haddock, long-serving manager Craig Brown and prolific ’60s goalscorer Harry Hood will all be inducted to the club’s Hall of Fame on the evening.
They will join last year’s inaugural entrants, The Dunn Family, Tommy McCulloch, Davie Laing, George Herd and Pat Nevin.
Tickets are available at £500 for a table of ten, with a discounted rate of £450 open to all CIC owners. Bookings can be made through the Clyde Office or via the commercial department at commercial@clydefc.co.uk.
