Golf Day Raises £10,000

The 6th annual Clyde FC Celebrity Golf Day was enjoyed by all at a relatively sunny Lenzie Golf Club on May 4th.

18 teams took part, including celebrities Jack Ross, Murdo McLeod, Frank McGarvey, Neil Hood and, of course, The Bully Wee’s own manager Jim Duffy and captain Paul Hay.

The golf was followed by an excellent meal in the clubhouse, attended by over 90 people. Dougie Donnelly, who both played and hosted the evening’s activities, was also presented with a token of appreciation for his lifelong service to the club by directors Gordon Nisbet and Bobby Gracey.

The net profit on the day was a fantastic £10,000, which included a record £1,100 bid for a weekend for two in Manchester with tickets to Man Utd v Arsenal.

The date for next year’s event has already been set for 3rd May 2013.
