Supporters Lose Out to Tigers

Bully Wee United, the Clyde supporters team, took on Hull City in the Second Round of the UK Cup yesterday morning.

The lads from Hull – aka TigerChat IFC – faced a night time departure to reach Blantyre in time for an 11am kick-off and travelled with only 11 players. That didn’t prevent a fantastic match from taking place though.

The final score was 4-4, following an entertaining game that swung both ways throughout the 90 minutes and saw the visitors score a late equaliser to take the contest to penalties. There was only one missed spot-kick, unfortunately for BWU, which meant that TigerChat progressed to the quarter-finals to face Kidderminster away.

The BWU goals came from Ruaraidh Mackay, own goal, Scott Robertson and Andy Murray.

Both sets of players are pictured above on the pitch at Broadwood, at half-time during the Clyde v Montrose match.
