PREVIEW: Clyde v Elgin City
Jim Duffy spoke to the official website this afternoon…
“Hopefully Ryan Kane and Gavin Brown will be fit to return but the game has come too quick for Jack Sloss who just returned to full training on Thursday. Also missing are Daniel Fitzpatrick, Kris Irvine and Paul Hay who has yet to recover from the groin injury he sustained against Annan.”
Continuing in the side however is Jason Marr…
“Jason was ill prior to kick-off on Tuesday and because of the age of the side he wanted to give it a go but lasted only until the hour mark. Gladly he is feeling better now so he will remain in the squad for tomorrow.”
One player remaining is Celtic loan ‘keeper Nick Feeley…
“We’ve agreed for Nick to stay with the club until the end of the season and we are grateful for Celtic for their support in making that happen.”
Kieran Daw made a positive impression in his first team debut on Tuesday but he may miss out from a second consecutive appearance…
“Kieran plays tonight for the under-19s so we will see how he does. I have to be fair to the youngest ones, it is a hard enough job coming into the first team when things are going well but asking them to feature and take extra responsibility when some players are injured and others are out of form is a lot to ask.
“As ever it is about getting the balance right in the team, especially when we have so many younger ones already featuring at the moment. So we need to be careful, but whoever is picked tomorrow will be required to compete well and try and get that win that will set us up nicely for a positive run towards the end of the season.”
