Another Fans’ Success
The annual Fans v Fans match took place at Broadwood on Sunday and it proved to be another big success.
Just under £1000 was raised for the club, as nearly 30 supporters paid to take part in a full game on the Bully Wee’s pitch. They were joined by former Clyde players Gordon Parks and Kenny Quinn, whose experience was very welcome.
Following a very close first half, the ‘home’ side eventually took control after the break and registered a comfortable victory. As always though, the scoreline was unimportant as everyone that took part enjoyed the occasion on a very hot day in Cumbernauld.
The club’s thanks go to event organiser Richie Duncan, team managers Stevie Morton and David Dishon and Subway Cumbernauld for very kindly providing the post-match catering.
The fundraising continues tomorrow with the Annual Golf Day at Lenzie Golf Club, another important event on the Clyde calendar.
