Aleks Returns to Clyde
The club is pleased to announce that Aleksandrs Gramovics has returned to Scotland for a second spell with the Bully Wee.
Attacking midfielder Aleks, 21, was most recently with Swedish side Ostersunds FK but has now joined Clyde until the end of the season.
The Latvian under-21 international previously signed on at Broadwood towards the end of the 2009-10 campaign, going on to make 17 appearances.
Aleks’ first return to action in a white shirt is dependent upon international clearance and a possible outstanding suspension but, with fifteen Third Division matches still to be fulfilled, he will have the opportunity to play a big part again.
Jim Duffy was delighted with the development when he spoke to the official website this evening:-
“Aleks is a player I’ve been aware of from my time at Brechin and whenever I’ve seen him I’ve been impressed. He is a good talent and when I came to Clyde he was one of the first players I asked Neil about.
“It’s taken a few weeks to conclude a deal to bring him back to Scotland but I’m delighted that we have managed to do just that. I’ve always said that if good players become available we will do our utmost to add to the squad and try and make things better.
“Aleks is also left-sided and that is an important factor as we’ve not too many options on that side. Obviously he hasn’t played on a regular basis recently but he is a naturally fit lad and once we get all the red tape sorted I’m looking forward to seeing him play for the Bully Wee again.”
