PREVIEW: Albion v Clyde
The Bully Wee will visit Cliftonhill tomorrow, as Albion Rovers host an IRN-BRU Third Division fixture.
It’s Clyde’s first trip to Coatbridge in over ten years, when the clubs contested a League Cup tie.
Stuart Millar spoke to the official website ahead of the match and reported that several players have been ruled out of contention.
Forwards Marc McCusker and Willie Sawyers continue to be sidelined by injury and Stuart reported mixed news on their progress: “Both players saw the surgeon this week. Marc got on fine and thankfully his collar bone is healing well. He is probably looking at a return in two weeks time.
“On the other hand, Willie was told that he requires an MRI scan on his knee. There’s concern that swelling has arisen around the area that was operated on previously.”
Also missing out tomorrow are Neil McGowan (suspended) and Murray Henderson (work commitments). Ricky Waddell is doubtful but could play a part if he passes a late fitness test.
Former Kilmarnock and Annan Athletic striker Scott Anson is again included in the squad as a trialist and may feature.
