Midweek Competition Action
It’s been another busy week for the club in terms of on the field action, with matches in two competitions taking place.
Last night, a young squad travelled to Livingston for a Reserve League Cup fixture. Four first team members were present in the squad – Hutchison, Girvan, Cochrane and Mills – with players from the youth academy making up the rest of the party.
Against a strong home outfit, the Bully Wee side went down to an 8-1 defeat. Stuart Mills scored Clyde’s consolation goal, with Paul Mulholland receiving a red card for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity.

Earlier this evening, it was the turn of the Glasgow Cup to take centre stage as a very talented Celtic under-17 side visited Broadwood.
The match finished with the Bhoys clinching a two-nil victory, but there were positives to take from the performance of Clyde’s teenagers on a very wet evening.
Next up for the lads is the challenge of the other half of the Old Firm, with Rangers due to come to Cumbernauld in November.
