Twelve Clubs Enter Reserve Cup

Clyde is one of twelve clubs that have decided to enter the SFL Reserve League Cup – a competition won by the Bully Wee three seasons ago – for the 2010-11 campaign.

With ten matches due to be played in the initial group phase of the cup, it will provide regular chances for first team squad members and under-19s to benefit from extra match action.

Clyde have been placed in the East section, which also contains Cowdenbeath, East Fife, East Stirlingshire, Livingston and Raith Rovers. The top two teams after a home/away round robin will go onto the semi-final stage, to meet Annan Athletic, Ayr United, Dumbarton, Partick Thistle, Queen of the South or Queen’s Park from the West section.

Gordon Wylde and Rab Sneddon will be leading the team throughout, with the first tie scheduled to take place tomorrow night away to East Stirling.
