McMillan & Dingwall Sign
The club is pleased to confirm the addition of two more players to the first team squad.
Defender Ross McMillan (left) and striker Bryan Dingwall have both joined Clyde from the Junior ranks; Largs Thistle and Pollok respectively.
27-year-old McMillan operates at centre half and was previously on the books at Morton. He was a regular in the Largs team during the last three seasons and his performances have attracted the interest of senior clubs.
Prolific goalscorer Dingwall, 34, will be hoping to transfer his fine form to the senior game. The former Lanark United, Bellshill Athletic and Maryhill man found the net an incredible 117 times in 150 outings for Pollok from 2006.
Both players spoke briefly to www.clydefc.co.uk after signing contracts with the Bully Wee today.
“When I got back from holiday, Rab Sneddon asked me to come in for pre-season training and it’s gone well,” Bryan explained. “Five years ago, Hamilton wanted me to go full-time but it was too late to make that change with my work and family commitments. With Rab being here at Clyde it has made it easier for me to make the step up but, irrespective of that, if Neil or Stuart had been the one to phone I would have been here.
“I just wanted to come to Clyde and score goals and I’m delighted to sign.”
Ross was also pleased to be given a chance to show what he can do in the Third Division…
“Stuart Millar contacted Largs to say that Clyde were interested and the manager passed on the news. I then met with him to discuss the move. Morton also wanted me to come up and do a pre-season but at the time it wasn’t right for me so I knocked it back and came up to Clyde. I liked what I saw when Stuart showed me around the club and the stadium.
“The opportunity to go senior has come along before but I now feel that this is my last chance and if I don’t take it I will regret it in the future, so I was pleased to complete the move today.”
